The Oldham site – on the car park behind a listed building in the town centre – presented many challenges for development.
Regent Contractors were able to secure planning permission for a 16-storey apartment block comprising 247 high-quality one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
The development also included complete restoration and refurbishment of the existing building, which has now been converted into a 200,000 sq ft shopping centre.
Planning constraints on the site were considerable, but Regent Contractors have been able to secure all necessary permissions to create a quality development that retains and preserves the best features of the original building. As a result, the development has yielded an excellent return on investment on a challenging town centre site.
